I started out on the mobile platform, grinding my way to tier IX. Once this game appeared on the mac store, I haven’t gone back to my phone. The controls can be intuitive, and easily played with a mouse/trackpad. For those that are just starting out, this game progressively becomes a harder and harder grind, so beware. Tanks at lower tiers, such as III and IV, cost nothing. Tanks at VII or above are ridiculous. I recently bought a T95, which costs around 3.5 million (in-game currency), along with 165K EXP. To put this into perspective, a single battle (without a “premium account”) will yield anywhere from -5000 (yes you lose cash if you don’t deal enough damage) to maybe around….20000. EXP per battle ranges around 500 to 1000. That’s around 165 battles to grind for xp. Now for the premium brief. Many app store games have the “freemium” tag. WoT Blitz is one of them, however less so than most. There are two forms of in-game currency. Gold, and Silver. Silver is earned in-game via battles. Gold is earned either in-game by watching videos or completing special missions. Premium account users enjoy 1 benefit. More XP and Silver yielded per battle. In-game, it has no effect whatsoever. Thats what makes WoT Blitz special among mobile platform games.
TLDR: Good game, don’t worry about real money, as that only gives you special tanks (that are far from overpowered), and slightly more earnings per battle.
