Looks fun, but cannot get out of training mode when trying to administer to wounded crewman.
awsome game could have done better on graghics. great game
It keeps saying fail to connect to game center. But my internet is perfect and all other games can connect. Please fix this. Otherwise perfect game! Long-time player on the ipad.
I was waiting so long for world of tanks to be on mac, now its here! The controls are easy and if you’ve played on a phone or ipad before you will catch along really quick. Great graphics, great tanks, great game! And for free!
the game is crap. doesn’t email you to activate game. You get no help also after trying to get this thing working and can’t. the only thing good is that it’s free, so one can get rid of it and not waste his/hers money. hey world of tanks- if youre going to make something and want one to buy the packs you have for sale, one should make sure it works.
Thankyou WarGaming for making this app not only available on my iPhone and iPad, but now also playable on my Mac! Short while I am sitting here at the computer working makes the day much more tolerable!
Tank turns only in 20 degree increments, you cannot turn smoothly. When using sniper mode and you have an enemy tank in view and this tank hides behind a rock or another obstacle, sniper mode automatically zooms out, which means you lose valuable time when the enemy tank shows up again. Default controls with left-shift for sniper mode isn’t very useful. It would be better to use right-click for that. News - is a completely useless feature, looks more like a spam email. I didn’t even read it. It’s too much stuff and does not seem to be relevant. Just something about getting points or perhaps suggestions for purchases. It’s just too much stuff to go through to even understand if it is some in-app purchase offer or some goals in the game. Not sure if I have to go through all these messages and complete some mission objectives or if it is just spam. Too many items to upgrade, I’m not sure where to start and where it ends. If you really want to have fun in tank battles, try Battle Supremacy, it has only a few in-app purchases, if you really want some extra stuff. World of Tanks Blitz seems to be designed to purchase coins and consume them.
I’ve enjoyed this game on the iPad for over a year. However, On my macbook pro when the game loads all i get are kaleidoscopic geometric shapes. I opened a tech support ticket. Unfortunately, the person who answered the ticket wasn’t very knowledgeable of the mac platform. He would only state that they supported Mavericks only. Period, end of story. And since I was running El Capitain, they could not help me. Later He suggested I try to update my graphics driver. (Which on the mac platform would necessitate installing the latest OS) Which is contradictory to their Mavericks only mantra they are currently chanting. I’m left with the impression that their tech support is optimized for windows users. Unknowledgable ones at that.
The game is great, and it looks great. However the controls are horrid. This is definitely best played on a mobile device.
hey tried to start the game up but it won’t anyone else having the same problem?
If I re-install the game and sign in with all my log info, Will I still have all my progress or no???
I had this game the first day it came out on iMac, but when the update came out, I updated it, then I can’t play it, deleted it, and now it can’t reinstall it.
Come on, get it together. I deleted the version on my computer, downloaded the app on this page which is supposed to be v. 2.8, but it’s not. Lame.
I loved World of Tanks when i’m playing on console it might get a little annoying time to time, but it is probably the better free games on the app store!
i downloaded the last version but when i am running the game, it had error : this version is out of date What should I do?
The game is deeply rooted in the PC keyboard world. You have to learn to use the a,w,d,s to move about which does take some skill. There is ONE (1) training session from the start and then you become fodder until you master some skills. And if you switch your game from mac to iPad you do not get a new training session to learn the layout! In theory you are batched with like skilled players, but I don’t think that always hits the mark. Even in the worst of the world wars (unless you were a Soviet conscript) you got some training of how to use the equipment. It is almost maditory to go to the forum and read up on the tactics and functions of the tanks. Just going in cold you are bound to become frustrated and a target for all. Don’t get me wrong, the game is fun and addictive. Nevertheless to enjoy it you do need some skill. And yes you can go direct in and “buy” a tank but working up the ranks gives you better skill and knowledge of the tank. Happy hunting… P.S. find a mate and hunt together — this game does require some team work as well.
I used to play WOT: Blitz on my iPhone, however i was never really good at it. My phones just so small and then i was dumb and wound up bankrupting myself in-game so i got stuck. Now that i’m playing this on my mac, i can’t stop. This game runs at a smooth 50-60 FPS at all times and functions mych better with a mouse and keyboard (or trackpad and keyboard). I’ve learned from my past mistakes and now i have quite a bit of money and a fiar amount of skill. This game requires a LOT of teamwork too. Example: Playing as a UC-2 PDR, 4 Enemies dead, remaining 3 injured, 3 Allies dead, 3/4 (myself included) injured. I ask the Medium II (who had the most health) to spot for us. They push up on the Base and start capping, at the same time, they spot a PZ. II, Medium II and T1. I proceed to push up behind the medum II and get an angle on the Pz. II. I get 2 shots off and drop them to critical health before they fall back and exit the Spotting Range. I proceed to go where i think they are, and spot them. They die. Then i focus on enmy Medium II, My allies and I destroy it then i push up on the T1. The T1 fired off 2 shots and dropped me to 23, but my 2 hits were enough to destroy them. We then both killed all enemies AND capped the base. 10/10 game requires good teamwork and tactics
Tanks are too costly . pricey than real war tanks
UPDATE: I’ve been playing this game for a couple of weeks now. Here is the lesson I have learned: Unless you are willing to spend money for upgrades you are quickly outclassed. The games arrange teams of tanks within one class of each other. However, if you haven’t spent money upgrading your tank to the max you find that your shells do not penetrate, your armor is too thin and a quick exposure to the other team’s fire destroys your tank. Yes, it is a lot of fun BEFORE the opposing side has bought their mega-tanks. And if you don’t get out your wallet to match these uber-tanks — tough luck. The designers are very skilled in incentivizing costly upgrades. _______________________________________________________________________________ A recent review warned readers of the potential cost. Quite true. Before downloading this game be aware that anything beyond the introductory phase and a couple of tank levels means spending actual money to move up to the biggest tanks. That said, the developers have put together a really fun tank game. You move around realistic landscapes, dealing with the strengths and weaknesses of your particular tank and those of your opponents. Each battle puts you into a team of 7 and you try to destroy the other team of 7 tanks. Or you occupy the target area for 100 seconds to win. You are paired with tanks of fairly equal power but game experience shows early in each game. The team with the most experience quickly gain the advantage. I am a klutzy gamer so I end up destroyed more often than I survive the game. But it is a great deal of fun and runs seamlessly on my Macbook Pro 13’.
